Technique of execution

Stand with your feet wide apart, parallel to each other. Turn your right foot out 90 degrees, and pivot your left foot slightly inwards. Bend down towards your right leg. Try to keep your pelvis aligned and legs straight. Move smoothly and gently, extending as far as is comfortable. Try to bring your palms down to the floor. Extend through the crown of your head towards your right foot. Breathe evenly. Focus on your breath. Then lift your torso up. Bring your feet together. Return to mountain pose. Repeat on the other leg. Stand with your feet wide apart, parallel to each other. Turn your left foot out 90 degrees, and pivot your right foot slightly inwards. Bend down towards your left leg. Try to keep your pelvis aligned and legs straight. Move smoothly and gently, extending as far as is comfortable. Try to bring your palms down to the floor. Extend through the crown of your head towards your left foot. Breathe evenly. Focus on your breath. Then lift your torso up. Bring your feet together. Return to mountain pose.
